How To Add or Change Favicon on Blogger

Favicon (short for Favorite icon) is the small square sized image picture (usually 16x16px or 32x32px or 48x48px in size) you see beside some site’s name in your web browser’s address bar. Having your own custom favicon for your blog/website, catches eyes of your site readers. Now let us discuss the procedure for changing favicon of your blogger blog/site.

Procedure for Adding a Favicon to Your Blogger Blog:
Step 1: Sign in to www.blogger.com.
Step 2: Click the name of the blog you want to change blogger’s blog favicon icon.
Step 3: On the left side of the page click on ‘Layout’, then you will be to see on your screen as the image shown below.

Step 4: Now click on ‘edit’ which you are able to see on favicon area widget, a new window will pop-up with message saying “Upload custom favicon, Please use a square image that’s less than 100KB”

Step 5: Click on “Choose File” on a pop-up window.

Step 6: Now select your desired .ico icon file from your computer storage hard disk. Click on ‘Save’.

Now you should be able to see your own custom favicon on your blog/site instead of blogger’s default favicon.

Note: It might take some time to appear your new favicon on your internet Browser’s tab.
